Custom Built Youth started as a simple idea one April afternoon while Jonny Boy was doodling in class. The year was 2003 and over the past few years Jonathan had been wanting to make a clothing line of his own, and so while bored in class he would think of ideas for a name. After quite a few he thought of the three letters CBY. He then began to think of what these three letters could stand for. It was not long until the words Custom Built Youth popped into his head. Jonny immediatly loved how the name sounded.

So with the idea in his head he began to design logos. He went through about three or four designs before creating the final logo that would make Custom Built Youth unique. However even after a final logo was made, Jonny had no idea of how to get the brand out into the public. Months went by and Custom Built Youth was going nowhere. All Jonny Boy had was an idea for a logo and a few designs but no way to get them printed. He didn't have the money to pay for silk-screening and as far as he knew, that was the only way to get what he wanted printed on t-shirts. But thanks to his wise older brother his dreams of making his own clothing brand took a big jump.

For a class project his brother had made his own shirt using iron-ons with images on them that came from his computer. Just as Jonny needed. So he rushed out to the nearest department store and bought a pack of iron-ons. He was now on his way to making Custom Built Youth something real.

Two years later, the name Custom Built Youth and logo were registered and trademarked with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and has been constantly expanding. Although there is a limited amount of resources available to Jonny and his clothing line, he is always looking for new ways to get the name Custom Built Youth spread across America! Jonny Boy designs and manufactures every product put out by Custom Built Youth and makes sure the customers satisfaction is met with every single product. Because that is his number one priority!
